As someone who survives on very little sleep, I’ve grown to rely on makeup to look alive throughout the work day. However, as the day goes by, it is inevitable (and normal) that your face starts to secrete oil and feel icky. Though what happens when I blot my face with either tissue or blotting paper is the tragedy of wiping off the makeup. I recently tried Bioderma’s release, the Hydrabio Eau De Soin, which is a 2-in-1 hydrating mist which combines sunscreen and hydration in a revolutionary product. It also boasts to be the only mist in the derma-cosmetics category that works to prevent skin ageing on-the-go.
The product also contains glycerine and texture agents specifically chosen to increase hydration power while providing a refreshing sensation. The Hydrabio Eau de soin SPF 30 PA +++ feels fresh and light on the skin, and delivers an impeccable, non-sticky finish that is ultra-comfortable. And the best part is because there’s no need to spread, my makeup stays on as well.

Because I can't find the lyrics anywhere online *shrugs*
Regardless, I found myself back at the clinic to continue the journey of combating the unfortunate effects that time and a crazy lifestyle has wrought on me.
I explained that I was in the middle of the workday, and cannot afford to go back to office without my eye makeup on at least, for fear that it would scare my colleagues and clients. I was assured by Michelle that it was perfectly okay because they were experienced in knowing how to remove makeup partially so the doctor can see my skin, but still leave my eye makeup on (yay!). Thankfully my main issue was dark eye circles so at least I will just go back to work looking less put-together than usual.
![]() Since having more options (So Dr Chua can like, choose his weapons) means I get a more customised prescribed treatment, I'll take his collection of laser machines as a good thing :D Mad makeup remover skills - the makeup on my cheeks, forehead, undereye are removed but I still have eyeliner on. For this session, Dr Chua decided to go with Ultraformer HIFU. Its a non-surgical method that does lifting, tightening, and contouring. It also offers natural-looking results because of its natural stimulation of collagen remodeling. The magic "C" word that all girls love. I decided to simply trust him and google later. Ultherapy, also known as High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), is an early stage medical technology that is in various stages of development. Wikipedia explains it in a way that makes it easy to understand: The mechanism is similar to using a magnifying glass to focus sunlight. Focused ultrasound uses an acoustic lens to concentrate multiple intersecting beams of ultrasound on a target. Each individual beam passes through tissue with little effect but at the focal point where the beams converge, the energy can have useful thermal or mechanical effects.
If I had to describe the sensation of the treatment, I would say that it felt like a staple gun. The first shot was quite shocking because of the sensation. But afterwards when you know what to expect, it wasn't really painful. And it legit helps with tightening because you can actually feel the area around the shot pulling in. I previously mentioned in another blog post about how you need to find people who know what they are doing. Your face is in their hands. Especially because the machine is a handheld device that the doctor needs to decide:
I saw on youtube how the a doctor helped this girl "even out" her face with the Ultraformer because she felt that one side of her cheek is bigger than the other. You could as easily end up with a misshapen face if your doctor doesn't know what he's doing :(
