Google it. I did, and as per habit, i clicked on images (because it's faster than reading entire articles right). Almost all the pictures were red. But because we just celebrated Chinese New Year, maybe we don't want to wear red. But red is also a very sexy colour. Which is also very bold. And it usually takes a confident woman to wear bright red.. To each her choice? <3 Let me digress, the history of Valentine's Day... is a little gruesome. Maybe red because of all that blood and gore? haha... Read more for yourself here: http://www.history.com/topics/valentines-day/history-of-valentines-day One thing about dressing in Singapore is that people tend not to like to draw too much attention to themselves. Either that or we're too lazy, but the ultimate killer is the weather. It kills the opportunity to wear a lot of beautiful fabrics like wool (too hot), leather (too hot and too many judgmental people), metallics (too loud), bare-backs (too exposed, and not in our culture to go braless), etc. But let's not care. Any occasion is a great opportunity to play dress up! As follows, ten level-ideas of what to wear for Valentine's Day. Level 1: Skater Dress/ Flair SkirtSimple and Girlish, Every girl has them, fits any occasion :) Level 2: FloralsChannel that Girly Vibe. Do not wear floaty dresses if you're heading to windy places/ the beach. Level 3: LaceFor all the dainty girls out there. Do not wear Pandora bracelets with lace dresses, I have ruined many many dresses because of Pandora dangling charms :( Level 4: Red/ Scarlet/ WineA confident strut is a compulsory accompaniment to this outfit. Level 5: RufflesRecommended for ladies who need a bit of optical illusion ;) Not recommended if you want to snuggle up close to your man, as it tickles. Level 6: Little Black DressNo description needed right? The safest option, but requires a lot of attitude so as not to blend into the background. Level 7: Cropped TopsLevel 8: Mesh/ Sultry Slips/ Camis/ SequinsBe ready to get stared at, so rock it for what it's worth. Chunky Jewellery Recommended. Level 9: Thigh-High SlitThe preferred choice if you have long legs. Strongly discouraged if you need to walk long distances as this look needs heels to carry it off. Level 10: Leather/ PunkDress to kill. Do not wear leather if there is a chance you might be seeing his parents. Do note though, that dressing according to the occasion never killed anyone.
If you're going for a picnic, dress appropriately. Save the dress for formal dinners and your sky high heels for the next date. Have a good V-day ladies ;) Love, Mori. Comments are closed.
