It may be impossible, but we shouldn't stop striving.

LiHO Taro Soy Latte Series Recommendation!

5/29/2019

This post is not sponsored. NOT SPONSORED/ DISCOUNTED in ANY way.
I'm just, I don't know, bored i supposed. Since internship is ending in two days and everything's kinda winding down.

Okay i guess i did get some benefit from paying with GrabPay (Grab Rewards Points accumulate right), and a free packet of tissue from LiHO.

It's so great to have met you. - Apt for a last week of internship post.

See them cute potong-like yam sticks and balls in the picture, the real thing's a mixture of:
  • Mashed Yam, chunky pieces and mashed. Real yam, not the yam-flavoured starch kind, which really. is worth the price.
  • Taro Pearls - Slightly smaller than Koi's Taro Q, and not as plastic-purple as it is in the picture. Awesome thing.
I get the need to make it purple-purple, but i honestly am thankful it wasn't.

Taken at the same counter, also under warm lighting. Pardon them for the dusty sign.

Somewhat confusingly (if you want to edit the colors of your photos), though the taro isn't as purple, the milk isn't as white as in the poster as well.

The soy milk is light and refreshing, blending perfectly in old-school style with the Yam-everything. Not overly sweet even though you don't get to pick your sugar level.

I felt Soy latte would be a better mix, and therefore never tried the blossom (heard it's jasmine) despite the umpteen times i bought it.

I had a box of fruits from SF + a cup of large Original Taro Soy Latte today, and didn't finish my lunch till 4pm.

With time the ice melted, still tasted well and good. But i couldn't go about sucking loudly in the office quiet office :( And therefore there was a lot of wasted yam :'(. Sigh.

Somehow towards the end i started to get the feeling like it was the melon sago kind of dessert you get at Chinese weddings, but all is good. Thoroughly, absolutely awesomely good.

My hope is that the Taro Series stay forever.
Real taro takes a lot of time and is generally expensive (you know you usually gotta top up for the "orh-nee" yam paste dessert right?). And most of the time there's too much sugar and starch used to "dilute" the amount of yam needed.

Side by side comparison to the FB Post
The amount though, is closer to the poster in the glass cup than their advertisement post (left, above).

Taro amount is 1/3 of the cup instead of 2/3, but I dont blame them because:-
  1. Aforementioned Taro is expensive
  2. It would actually be quite jelak if most of the cup is Taro mash.

So yeah, true-blue LiHO Taro Series fan girl here. Kudos to the great job the LiHo team has done.
Their seasonal promo tea now though (some strawberry something and the ginger milk tea), i can't wait for the next promos to take over. =.=

Cheers!
