A new friend shared that the stories inspired by true Singaporeans show a different side of Singaporeans. The side that is contrary to general perspective of selfish and kiasu Singaporeans? Of people who will go out of their way to be kind and show kindness. Maybe I missed the point completely, but what struck me was that these are struggles of ordinary people. We all have our burdens to bear. Sometimes we "level up" ourselves and breakthrough, while others become extraordinary because along the way someone extended a helping hand.
Secretly sharing my favourite Aunt's whatsapp statuses "🇸🇬饮水思源,不忘本不忘根不忘祖."
Prior to that it was "没有国就没有家，没有家就没有我.“
