Singpost SmartPac [Review]

I've been using the Singpost Smartpac for a few years ago. Trackable mailing is essential both for business-related matters and even private deliveries (especially Carousell sales). ​

The best part about using SmartPac is you know your costs up front and save. In the past you only know how much you pay after you reach the post office, have your non-standard parcel weighed, and then you add $2.24.. and that's on top of your wrapping and/or mailing bag and mountain of sticky tape. ​

The SmartPac Box is especially great for sending things that you're afraid will be crushed in a packet. Available in a variety of sizes, the Smartpac series helps maximise efficacy by combining both packaging and mailing costs. 

Once you're done packing, just drop the package off at any of the 57 post offices (or >800 posting boxes) islandwide, you and your customer can simply track delivery status online.

Delivery is made to the doorstep, and if the recipient is not home, it'll be in their mailbox. Because it's Singpost... and they have access to your mailbox (especially HDB mailboxes).

How to use SmartPac

1. Buy – purchase it from any Post Office or Shop@Singpost
2. Send – Pack your items into a suitable SmartPac (according to weight) and drop it at/in any Post office or street posting box (57 POs and more than 800 posting boxes)
3. Track – Track your item’s delivery status via SP.com or SP Mobile App
4. Receive – receive the item from the post man or if you’re not at home, item will be placed in your letter box

Things to Note:

Each of the SmartPac has a specific space and maximum weight limit. If you know you're sending a 800gram item which can fit into the SmartPac Mini... exercise integrity and use the SmartPac Lite instead.

Items that should not be packed are listed to the left. In addition, it is recommended to not send anything that is of high value (e.g. $1000 diamond ring), items with high tendency of leakage (unless sealed tightly) or precious items (e.g. one and only item in the world).
